Ahh, peace.  John Lennon said it several decades ago:  "All we are saying is give peace a chance." Why not?  How is the war effort working out?  Are we feeling safe yet?

Mahatma Gandhi told us during the last century earlier that we have to be the peace we seek in the world.

You want to hear an amazing speech by an American President?  JFK at American University August 1963. I feel lucky to have been alive in a time when an American President could have spoken these words.  If you have the time, play the actual speech and listen to a powerfully intellectual and articulate person who was our President once upon a time.

Today, we need to wage peace with great faith and energy.   I think there is no reason to believe that peace work will necessarily be fun, but I believe strongly that it should be non-violent and I encourage you to act and work for peace in non-violent ways.  These ways may not always be perceived as peaceful.  Civil disobedience done right could inconvenience your friends, family and neighbors.  These folks may not always understand their inconvenience within the larger context of a more peaceful world.

So just how many nuclear weapons do we really have?
